-- Now on her fifth solo album, Jenn began her career with John Mellencamp, meeting the Hoosier rocker in Bloomington, Indiana, where she was in the midst of an all-American swimming career at Indiana University. During her stint with Mellencamp’s band she proved her versatility, playing flute, piano, percussion, organ, and violin in addition to singing. When she embarked on her solo career in 2003, she wanted to create a sound that both honored all of her varied influences – from Ben Folds to Pink and Bruce Hornsby to Queen – while creating something decidedly original. Folk Alliance International (FAI) has awarded Jesse Lacy with a Scholarship to attend their 2016 conference! Isn't that cool??
This inspired him to get back on the road and do a little bit more touring (the schedule is below). As a part of this amazing opportunity, Miss Lauren Pratt of Nashville, TN and Faith Evans Ruch of Memphis, TN will be joining him on the tour and at the conference!
To organize these events, Jesse Lacy worked together with fellow songwriters in each city along the way to the conference. Many of these fellow songwriters will be performing alongside them in their home city!

Jesse Lacy to announce February tour after being awarded the 2016 Folk Alliance International Conference Scholarship!
These are the 'First Steps', folks. I believe that we can make a difference and that it is best done as a community. Together. One step at a time. Last night we raised $142 for a non-profit protecting one of the things people love most about southern Indiana: the beautiful landscape! (almost 9,000 acres so far!) I did not do this. Players Pub did not do this. WE did this. We made a difference together. However, this is only the first step, in a series of steps, of making the right thing the normal thing.
Thank you everyone for taking the time out of your evening to support Sycamore Land Trust and listen to the music of Hoosier Darling aka WFHB Gozpel Gurlz and Jesse Lacy. We truly are STRONGER TOGETHER.
See you soon!
WE WILL SHARE YOUR MUSIC: Jesse Lacy is giving away one free CD to everyone who buys a ticket to our events. Instead of just promoting themselves, they'd like to invite you to submit your demo, EP, or album to be put in the stack. People love to discover new music and this is a great way to share your music with someone you may have never met otherwise. Who's in?
* Contact us if you are interested in submitting or have questions.
Jesse Lacy Trio will be performing on Late Show with David Letterman tonight!
Although they will not be on Letterman, they will be joining Hilary Scott and her multiple award-winning singer/songwriter duo for three very special shows in Indiana. Continuing the tradition of supporting independent artists, every ticket purchased online includes a free CD from their Touring Artist Collection.
Jesse Lacy Trio likes to keep things simple. With a knack for writing catchy songs, this classically influenced folk trio is known for their intimate performances on stage.
Hilary Scott released Freight Train Love in November and it has grabbed the attention of reviewers from Billboard, No Depression, Maverick, and many more. It highlights Scott’s vocal diversity with songs ranging from soul to Americana. She is also a winner of the Folk/Americana Album Of The Year from The National Traditional Country Music Association.

The Ryder Magazine included a preview of our Dec 4th concert at The Bishop in Bloomington, IN w/ Dietrich Jon and Mars or the Moon!
Jesse Lacy Trio to share the stage w/ Indianapolis, IN's Mars or the Moon and Bloomington, IN's Dietrich Jon . December 4th . The Bishop in Bloomington, Indiana.
* Mars or the Moon named their project after describing the musical experiences and a radio that sounded like transmissions from another world like Mars…or the moon. The group’s debut album is a hearty slice of Singer-Songwriter, Roots Rock, Psychedelic Folk Americana with a hint of Soul.
* Dietrich Jon Inspired by the 1938 classic 'Boys Town' starring Mickey Rooney and Spencer Tracy, Dietrich Jon was formed by Stockholm-native and cheese connoisseur Rolf van Dinckelstein. Originally cast for the soundtrack of a student film about fish, the band soon started to emerge in the Bloomington, Indiana 'Daince' rock and alternative cow punk scene. Dietrich Jon can be found in a Cobra-drenched basement near you.
